In this classic melodrama acclaimed for its lush Academy Award-winning cinematography, Gene Tierney's arresting portrayal of a jealous woman earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. Though she is engaged to a politician (Vincent Price) Ellen (Tierney) lures the handsome Richard (Cornel Wilde) into marriage after knowing him for just a few days.
